find - filipino intercollegiate networking dialogue

FCA is a part of the Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue (FIND), Inc. This is a student-led organization dedicated to promoting unity and cooperation amongst Filipino and Filipino-American students.

Based in the East Coast, FIND, Inc. currently serves over 1,000 students studying in East Coast colleges, universities, vocational, and technical schools. FIND, Inc.'s primary member institutions are located from the Northeastern seaboard through the state of Virginia. These member schools are divided into seven districts according to their geographic proximity. (FCA is a part of District VI - http://www.find6.org)

FIND, Inc. was founded in 1992 when it was apparent that there was a need for a vehicle for East Coast Filipino and Filipino-American students to get together to talk about and celebrate the Filipino heritage. FIND, Inc. was created to unify Filipino student organizations in the East Coast in order for groups to cooperate and successfully create dialogue amongst one another.

It is estimated that there are approximately 1,000 students involved in FIND, Inc. Through electronic mail, FIND, Inc. has reached students in Canada, California, Michigan, Illinois, and Florida.

On June 30, 2000, FIND Inc. established itself as a corporation within the state of Pennsylvania and is recognized officially as the Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue (FIND), Inc. Today, the National Directors (NDs) are currently working on obtaining 501(c)(3) non-profit status.
